I left AGAIN for over two months. It's not that nothing interesting happens, it's literally that I am way too lazy to update.

After Otakon, I did do some stuff. Most of it involved waxing poetic over the lack of stuff to do--and visiting my boyfriend often. Actually, it's true that I haven't been involved in social media/friends/outings/anything lately. I think I'm in that honeymoon period and I don't like it! The romance and the cuddles are all nice, but I want to stop feeling like I should take every chance I have to talk to just them and no one else! It seems I've become more independent--but, like, more dependent on my friends. LOL, bye..

In October I went to the zoo with my good friend Lily, and bought a child's tiger umbrella. They did too, and our silhouettes in the sun were adorable. We shared soft-serve in the near-desolate park and it really felt like there was nothing better I could have done with that day.

I cut my hair, too.

I think it's actually really sad how my memory is so bad that the only reason I can actually say what's been going on in my life is by having a refresher via my dropbox--seeing as I photograph everything and I can only tell what I did and in what order by what photos were taken on which date! That's so sad!

Around Halloween, Daniel and I went to Fright Fest at Six Flags. Actually, I think it was on Halloween that we did this. We rode all of the rides, went to some shows, some zombies flirted with me.... some of the haunted houses did spook me slightly and I bought a hot chocolate with a peeps marshmallow ghost melted on top.. + a giant fudge brownie that I could barely finish. Disgusting, but so good. I don't know what we did after that, but we probably ended the night with a horror movie marathon because that's Daniel's favorite thing to do, apparently. (Whenever we have nothing to do, he literally just always wants to watch horror movies. Always.)

Received gifts from my lovely friend, Christina! Completely uncalled for (in a good way), and I'm sending her many treats for Christmas in return! Stickers, pens, coaster/ornament, washi tape and really super adorable kitty socks + a handwritten card which was really long and sweet! I love you, Christina!

Beyond that, I really haven't done TOO exceedingly much. I dyed my hair red, although it's not the color I'm going to Japan with. I started working  at Hot Topic, so that's some news. Based on my appearance, I don't think I could have done much better--you know, save for the cute Lolly and Pops down near my store. I've bought a lot of nice clothes, some wigs, and SO many things for my boy, Cecile, my BJD.

Another thing, back to Japan.

On January 6, I'm taking a flight straight out of BWI to NRT and I can't even tell you how stoked I am. From the 6th until the 18th I will be having the time of my life, even on the plane where I'll undoubtedly be holding Cecile and reading copious amounts of fanfiction on my phone. Literally do not care. I will touch down and begin sobbing.

Trips like this aren't usual for me. I think I fly once or twice a year, which, I don't know if that's normal for most people, but it's usually to New Mexico where I visit my best friend BT (that, or he comes here). This is my 18th birthday and Christmas gift combined. I'm going to buy practically a whole new wardrobe there and eat so much food and be super fashionable and take pictures of Cecile and Niko (my waifu, who I'm going with) and everything and SELCAS OUT THE ASS...

I'm so stoked. I'm SO stoked. You have no idea.

I've been throwing out some clothes while slowly replacing them because I really want my wardrobe to be more of a Harajuku-esque look and not Forever 21-goth, you know? lol.. Like.. I'd love a wardrobe of harnesses, chokers, YRU platform shoes, neon fur stoles, and huge, baggy monomania tshirts with tattoo tights and tiny leather shorts underneath. None of this 'edgy but still kind of normal looking attempts-at-unusual-fashion' that stores like Forever 21 and H&M have been trying to pull off. They're still great stores if you're into alternative fashion and NOT of the Hot Topic variety (haha, ironic...but they have some good pieces! Not for J-fashion, but, you know, for normal people.)

More stuff I want to get in Japan are things like.. a sukajan. Definitely want to get a sukajan. I don't know if I want my first (of many) sukajan (because I'm obsessed with yankii) to have a tiger or oni on it.. I guess I'll fall in love with one when I go to a sukajan shop in Tokyo. A seifuku jacket, doll clothes, all of the yume nikki gachapon and merch I can... a Takuya Angel muffler, yowapeda plushes, and I want to literally buy out the entire stock of kishidan merch fom the Ikopiri store. Just. Everything. Even the towels. Maybe I'll be trash and buy a doll at the Tenshi No Sato when/if we go.

I'm going to seriously try and update more regularly. I don't know why I haven't. I don't DO anything, lol.

See ya.

So it's been a while again... lots has been going on! Actually, not really...
I left NM, obviously, and after that last post where I touched on it just a little, I had scaled an entire mountain and ate more soft service ice cream than should be physically allowed. A lot of eventful things happened in New Mexico, like being chased by giant grasshopers in a parking lot at night and being chased by dark silhouettes in the distance while pushing my best friend along in a shopping cart that we found laying on its side beside a bicycle path. We crawled through drainage tunnels in the middle of the night and held hands because what if someone was in there--and would go to gas stations to buy popsicles or soft serve just because we could. (Also because I have a sweet tooth that just won't quit.)

Shortly after I came home and began Otakon prep, BT moved to RI/CT. So I don't think I'll ever be seeing the NM desert again. I was there for a solid month or more so I think I've had enough of it anyway LOL...  speaking of fucking Otakon, my laptop just... died? right before the con, where I had tons of prints that I needed to sell on it... in the end I had to just settle with some keychains and buttons and I made a lousy amount of money, even if it was my first time. I'm still bitter about that, lol... but like, I met a lot of chill people even though half the convention was me being cripplingly self conscious.
I didn't actually end up cosplaying Luffy, instead I focused more on Nagisa's sailor uni ver. and Naruko.

When I got home I was able to fix my laptop, but I also ended up knocking my BJD off a coffee table and he got ... a tiny bit chipped.......... so now I have to send him out for  another faceup.... again... this is the third.... time... I've sent him out.... and this time it's going to be really expensive because the WHOLE THING needs to be wiped... my baby...

Lately, what have I been up to? Not much. I've biked some and drawn some, but I really need to focus and get back into a creative mood and start creating more. Really just start to make things. I ended up not being able to apply for university because the majors I care about aren't spring admission. So it's back to liberal arts college for a semester while I wait because I cannot--will not--sit around being unproductive during the spring. I cannot just sit around doing nothing for another year.

That's all for now... ww It's so sad but I don't have much to tell. Another thing I've been doing is taking a lot of selca, so perhaps I should post some.

Four months later and I make a post! Between this post and last post, I:

  1. went to KPP in NYC
  2. was confirmed for an Otakon artist alley table!
  3. went to the cherry blossom festival with Lily and Illeana, sewed a yukata
  4. finished up some college credits boosting my GPA for university!
  5. had many sleepovers with my friend Shelby, including a time we went geocaching and almost died--
  6. went to Boston, MA to see Nina!
  7. am now in Las Cruces, NM visiting BT!

In February was the Kyary concert and it was amazing. Nina and I met up in NYC, all dressed up, and got in line for the concert. We waited a long time but it went so fast because we met so many cool people in line and just talked for hours. We met Toshi and Samir! Who are two very cute girls that do makeup and fashion ... the concert itself was so, so fun even though I pretty much died by the middle of it. There were a lot of people all around me and there were moments where the whole crowd would rush forth--(so a lot of bodies just suddenly slamming into both Samir and I). After the concert, I was able to meet Elleanor from Elleanor's Tokyo on Tokyo Fashion.

Nina and I were staying at her friends' house, who will actually be in Japan at the same time as us in January! Anyway ... our bus ride home as mostly uneventful and we did go to Sunrise Mart and Kinokuniya (and Superdry) while in NYC ... we also went by the Sanrio store in Times Square and I bought a Tokidoki x Sanrio luggage bag, which I've used several times now.

The morning after we got back to Nina's place in DC, we found out that we were accepted into the Otakon AA! Hundreds were accepted, of course, but it was decided by raffle so it's nice to have gotten in! I'm working hard to make a lot of prints (One Piece, mostly... ehe ) and on my Strong World cos & any other cos I decide to make.

In April, Lily and Illeana and I all stayed up for a long time to sew yukatas for the cherry blossom festival in DC. Actually, it was mostly Lily and I wwww... We also gave Illeana a cake that weekend because it was her birthday. The festival was really hot and open shirt binding wearing cos was so upsetting... we ended up leaving early and just sitting at home playing Tera and eating chinese food.

I also recently (May) went to Boston, MA to see Nina again. The first night I was there we went to get shabu-shabu and we had a lot of sushi to go with it. Over the four or five days I was there, we went to a place in Harvard Square called Tealuxe, to a comic book store, to a piercing shop, to Urban, and to this neat little shoe and dance outfit store. We also had curry at H-Mart and boba at Super 88. We met up with my friend Tayla who dropped by Super88 for a few minutes to hang out with us, and that was my last day in Boston, actually... (;_・)

There were other moments, too, like when I lost my phone in Best Buy and had to wait until the next day to retrieve it. The bus ride up was also kind of terrible even though I slept through it mostly... mostly because I had no food, and the heat.... the summer heat is so unbearable but the weather in Boston was so nice. It was always cold (Nina was so upset www) and I loved it since I get too hot easily..

That was a really fun week I had there, and I made a lot of new friends that I didn't know who knew Nina so I sort of.. met them through her! Although she had no idea they were following her.. now we're all friends and it's great ヾ(@† ▽ †@)ノ

Now I've been in New Mexico visiting BT for quite some time and it's so ... so hot here.. but my skin has cleared up a lot because of the dryness of the air... there's no humidity here like on the east coast. We haven't done much so far besides go to PQ Treats every night for soft serve ice cream ... and buy food www. I've bought some things, and some have been online! I recently sent my doll to the faceup artist I'm super loyal to (asainemuri) so that she could give him more birthmarks to clean up his chipped face (he got a chip from Boston... ) and bought him a proper doll bag.

For my skin, I bought Hadalabo Super Hyaluronic Acid toner recently, and Missha M BB cream, since, although I'm clearing up, I'm not super satisfied with my skin still. I might provide reviews for both products when they arrive! ٩(^ᴗ^)۶

ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ) no pictures this time...! next time, surely.

so i was originally going to go to katsucon. a jacket i ordered for the convention didn't arrive correctly (i got a wrong order. don't worry, they'll fix it, just not in time), and because of various other circumstances, i decided that the weekend i would have been going to katsucon, i'll be going with BT and my friend, shelby, to NYC instead. i AM most likely going to anime boston, though.

moving on, about NYC. i'm still in the process of looking up hotels. maybe. i won't be booking the room until later tomorrow, the fifth. hopefully one of my top choices so far will still be available for booking. since it's the three of us, we'll be splitting costs. the funny thing is that i haven't even checked bus prices but it's likely we'll be leaving late thursday night, before the friday we check in.

there are many things i want to do in new york, including but not limited to: going to kinokuniya (alpacasso! rilakkuma! japanese stationary! the latest releases of KERA and EGG!), going to ippudo (apparently really good ramen, i want to try squid ink), uniqlo, nintendo world, superdry (and i WILL buy a hoodie), cafe zaiya, and a sanrio store. it's full of shopping at these specific places but i'm sure we'll be in the area of lots of other great things as well and we'll probably just wander into places. i think that it'll be a lot of fun so i REALLY hope that it actually happens and doesn't turn out like katsucon did. \( #`⌂´)/┌┛

before anime boston, and shortly after my new york city trip, is the kyary concert. i have no idea what i'm going to wear so i'm probably going to be looking for some things IN new york that i could include in an over-the-top outfit that is still concert-safe. kyary i know for sure is going to happen, my tickets have been bought. .... although i still don't have my bus tickets yet. o(-`д´- 。)

a week or two ago i saw anohana with my friend サイコ, who i've mentioned before in a post.

on january 25, サイコ and i went to the us showing of anohana. it was SO COLD that day. i wandered around the metro stop in the freezing cold, where my fingertips were literally turning red because i prioritized texting over shoving them in my pockets (which didn't really help, even when i did) waiting for her to pick me up. when she did, we went over really early and had lunch at noodles and company. i don't remember exactly what i got, nor the dish we shared although it was some sort of japanese noodle (やきとり?) and when we did get back to the theatre, we both ordered a latte and it even had a little design in it.

as part of the event, everyone got an anohana poster. there was also 'letters from menma' where you'd get all the letters she wrote to everyone from the super peace busters in her scrawled, child handwriting out of about fifty people, there were only ten letters. i think it was pretty good odds, but saico got one! i wouldn't have expected it, considering i had said "i hope you get one" right before she won.٩(๑`ȏ´๑)۶

also, because we booked different seats away from each other since i was late booking my tickets, we sat together in seats that weren't ours in the theatre. it seems we were literally THE ONLY ONES to do this because the attendant noticed and put us in our right seats. we were so far away and were completely split up for the whole film. even so, it was a really good movie even though i couldn't share it with someone like i wanted.

just today (!!)  i was told the demos for my scarface cecile's faceups were finally ready. there was an issue with photobucket so she's probably going to either host them somewhere else or send them to my email and thoughout this entire blog post's writing i've been checking my email obsessively. i'm excited to have my doll come home.

because i'm LITERALLY between classes right now, as i type this, i have to hurry up and go. so--またね
